Jenkinsons were appointed after a tender process to provide all the furniture for the new build initially and the council for 3 years there after. Included in the solution Jenkinsons were to provide all designs, planning, staff consultations and furniture recommendations. A individual project team was created and worked in partnership with Blackpool staff for 18 months to achieve the project solution.
The project was a complete success, with all departments very happy with their new offices and ways of working. The Council has achieved a 10 staff to 7 desk ratio; which at the outset seemed impossible. The success of the project has resulted in the new furniture and solutions being now adopted throughout the council.
