We worked with the property services staff of the new council & Morgan Siddell Architects/Construction to provide a modern design to reflect the ‘Iconic’ building the council were to occupy whilst allowing the council to adopt and incorporate all new ways of working.
Objectives / Challenges
To provide furniture to a multi-functional building that was already built when purchased. The design and layout was to reflect a modern, open plan area that could be used for ‘hot desking’ etc. All workstations were the same style and shape even for the Chief Executive and his executive team.
The major challenge on this project was to achieve the complete project from design, consulting, supplying & installation within 12 weeks. This tight timetable had to be adhered too because the new council was commitment to vacating its existing building.
The Finished Project
The occupation schedule for the building was agreed and had to be achieved, no slippage could occur. We achieved the agreed dates and the move was a success within budget. Our furniture design reflects the quality and modern design of this Iconic Chester building, also stakeholders requirements were met. The Council has now adopted the workstation used on this project as the standard issue for the Council.
